Safe & Healthy Environment
The safety and health of our campers is of utmost importance. For the last 85 years, Camp Wawona has succeeded in providing a safe, clean and healthy environment for all ages. Prior to the start of camp, all Summer Camp Staff are trained by the American Red Cross in CPR and First AID and receive instruction on recreation and aquatic safety, health and nutrition, risk management, camp management systems, and youth guidance. This ensures that Camp Wawona is able to provide an unbeatably safe and fun camp experience.

All camper medications, both prescription and over the counter, must be in original bottles with labels. Medical staff will not administer medication received in bags or plastic containers. With the exception of inhalers and epi pens, all medications are dispensed by Medical Staff as directed by a prescribing physician or signed instructions of a parent/guardian.
